About Us
Since 2010
Our company began in 2010, in the founder Angela Charlton’s living room as she met clients while raising her then-infant twins. This story encapsulates Restorative Therapy’s mission: to meet people where they are, no matter their time in life, and treat them with the familiarity, warmth, and respect of family. Now a four person office nestled in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, we are proud to continue the tradition of serving.
Our Mission
The mission of Restorative Therapy Co is to enrich clients’ lives, grow connections, and foster positive change through client-centric Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for individuals, couples, and families.
Our Team
Angela Charlton
Founder, Therapist
Spurred by a life-long passion for helping others, I earned my Masters in Social work from VCU in 2001. With over two decades of experience in the field of mental health, I am a dedicated therapist passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to fostering personal growth and resilience. Drawing on evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of human behavior, I work with clients facing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my family or riding my horse, Toby.
Michael Johnson
Therapist
I grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia and am a proud alumni of JMU. As someone who values connection and community, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help each individual uncover their inner strength and achieve a greater sense of well-being. Whether it’s through one-on-one counseling, couples therapy, or family sessions, I am honored to be a partner in the journey toward healing and self-discovery.
I spend my weekends cheering on my daughter at her soccer games, fishing, and rock climbing.
Theresa Webb

Drawing on my educational training and a strong commitment to personal growth, I am here to help clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and life transitions. I am excited to grow alongside my clients and create meaningful relationships with each individual I serve.
I love to crochet, dance, and take my dog Rufus on long walks.
Wade Warren
Office Administrator
As an office administrator and receptionist, I take pride in being the welcoming face and organized heart of the workplace. I believe that every interaction is an opportunity to make a meaningful impression, and I am committed to providing exceptional support that contributes to the success of the team. My goal is to foster a smooth, productive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and respected.
In my free time, I enjoy cycling, reading historical fiction, and checking out a new brewery or coffee shop.
